Screw crowns and bridges on implants - Multi-unit superstructures

Screw fix implant crowns are the modern option for prosthetics on implants

One of the ways for making these crowns and bridges is by using Multi-unit superstructures. Specific upgrades such as this are made in 3 parts – implant, crown part and a connecting screw. The implant part is screwed into the implant and remains at the level of the gum either slightly below or above it. Bridge(crown) part of the superstructure is being integrated using a special technology in the metal skeleton of the bridge/crown. What’s different from other crown/bridges in that type is that this one has a hole in the chewing surface area, in which the 3rd part is placed – the connecting screw and already prepared bridge/crown is tightened to it. After it the screw has to be isolated properly in order to be accessed with ease over time and the hole is filled with a photopolymer filling, similar to a natural tooth.

There is no need for you to worry about your crown or bridge falling apart because cement is not used in that manipulation. Their only disadvantage is that the screw can go loose after some time, but easily repairable. The access to it on the chewing surface is used, only the photopolymer seal that covers it is changed.

Production time:  up to 10 days with 3 sessions.
